Although I did not know Sannie’s dad well enough to speak of him, I do know how well he brought up his daughter. We should all be so fortunate to have a father so loving. All of us have lost a good man.

Denny,
I am so very sorry about Chick’s death. I know how close you and Chick were; it seemed your whole life revolved around him. Judging from all the ways he helped you fix up your rooms at school, I would say that his world revolved around you, also. I am happy that you have two daughters to share your grief with; there is nothing like family at a time like this. Please know that you and Chick are in my prayers.
Mark Smith says
Please know that you have been, and will continue to be, in my prayers. I have fond memories of working with Chick on photographing model planes for an article which was to be published. Your generosity also will always be remembered for your gift of a weekend away after Laurel’s accident…our trip to the Inn at Honey Run created many special memories.
In the days ahead I pray you will sense God’s presence and peace.

Linda and I extend our heartfelt condolences. Chick Gayley will be remembered as a wonderful, honorable role model as a loving christian family man, business leader and military officer. He loved and lived his life fully. Chick’s special and rare sense of humor brought smiles to many.
Alicia McMahon says
I wanted to share how much you mean to my children, Mrs. Gayley. Both former students of yours, Liz and Brendan enjoyed your class so much. Liz’s favorite memory of you is when you and Mr. Gayley took her 8th grade french class to The Glass Chimney for dinner. She commented on how much fun it was to have you there and how “cute” you both were that night! You are certainly missed by all at Clay Middle School. Please know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I love you forever.

Dear Denise — Just found the obit notice and realized I had not written you. Please know that we are thinking of you. Years ago Chuck gave us a “How to visit England” brochure (still have it!)when we took our first trip there. It was so helpful — we were so grateful. We also always enjoyed seeing you two on Friday nights at the old Muldoons.
May God’s peace be with you and your family.
